Recently, ZZ Bearings formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a leading domestic manufacturer of aerial work platforms. Under this agreement, the two parties will establish a joint laboratory to engage in in-depth collaboration focused on the drive systems for next-generation aerial work platforms.

The backdrop for this collaboration is the fact that, driven by advancements in battery technology, the requirements for lightweight design and spatial layout in aerial work platforms are becoming increasingly stringent. Traditional slewing drives—characterized by their bulky size and heavy weight—are no longer capable of meeting the design demands of new, ultra-slim-boom vehicles. According to the agreement, ZZ Bearings will dispatch a team of senior R&D experts to be stationed at the client's R&D center, where they will work jointly to tackle the technical challenges associated with "ultra-thin, high-torque slewing drives." The objective is to develop a new generation of products featuring a 30% reduction in thickness and a 20% increase in torque density, specifically designed to integrate with the client's upcoming series of electric straight-boom platforms exceeding 30 meters in height.

Beyond product development, the two parties will also engage in comprehensive cooperation covering areas such as supply chain synergy and the mutual recognition of quality standards. ZZ Bearings has pledged to provide the client with priority production scheduling and customized inventory services to ensure the uninterrupted operation of their production lines; conversely, the client has committed to prioritizing the procurement of ZZ products under equivalent conditions, while also sharing select testing data to assist ZZ in design optimization. The company's Procurement Director remarked: "In selecting ZZ as a core supplier, we were drawn not only by the cost-effectiveness of their products but, more importantly, by their responsiveness to our needs and their willingness to engage in joint innovation." This powerful alliance is poised to drive a comprehensive upgrade across the entire supply chain of China's aerial work equipment industry.
